2011 Comic-Con: “Game of Thrones” Panel Quotes

Thanks to several blogs and entertainment websites who blogged live from the Game of Thrones panel we have quite a few quotes! It has been revealed during the panel that there won’t be many (if any) deleted scenes on the DVD or Bluray since they used most of the scenes! There will be some auditions as extras however.

A question for Harington is next. The ladies cheer and Martin warns him his picture is going up in their bedrooms. He replies, “Scares the crap out of me.” In response to his new found fame, he recalls someone just recognized him while he was getting coffee. He says every now and then someone comes up to him and asks, “Do you watch Game of Thrones?” He calls the journey thus far remarkable.

What’s everyones favorite scene? Coster-Waldau jokes pushing Isaac (Hempstead Wright) who plays Bran Stark. Harington goes for the scene with Arya (Maisie Williams).

A question for Harington, what drew you to the character and what are you looking forward to most in the upcoming seasons. Harington says, “He’s got a big journey ahead of him” and goes beyond the wall. He explains how he spent most of the first season being concerned with his family, but now, moves beyond that. As for what drew him to the character, he likes that he’s a “mysterious sort of guy.”

Again with Kit, a fan asks if he knows who Snow’s mother is. Harington laments no, but he’s love to know. “I haven’t got a clue, so I’m sorry I couldn’t fill you in there.”

Kit Harington admits that the direwolves didn’t always do what they were told, but he adds, “I love my dog. I love Cooper, or ‘Ghost’ as he was called.” He’s begun getting recognized, he says, but he suggests it’s an “I’m sure I know you from somewhere” thing so far.

From the audience, how would the stars end the series if they had their way? “I want Jon Snow to be on the Throne. Definitely,” Harington says.

a question for Kit about what drew him to Jon Snow and what he’s looking forward to: “He’s got a big journey ahead of him. He goes beyond the wall…” Harington is looking forward to Jon getting on with “his own agenda.” What drew him to the character? “He’s a badass with a sword. He’s a mysterious little guy.”

Everybody loves Kit. Harington says that Martin hasn’t revealed to him who Jon Snow’s mother is. “I haven’t got a clue. Sorry, but I can’t fill you in there.”

The series, executive produced and written by David Benioff and D.B. HBO Films Screening of “Sunset Limited”

Due to my exam weeks and having to study I completely missed that Kit attended a screening of “Sunset Limited” hosted by HBO Films & The Cinema Society on February 1st! So far 12 MQ pictures have been added to the gallery. Hopefully more are to come! Additionally I have stumbled upon a gorgeous new photoshoot. If anyone knows for which magazine it was taken, please let me know.

Edit: Thanks to my friend Maria I’ve been able to replace three of the pictures with HQs and was able to add a new picture.
