Seeing as though it is reasonably quiet at the moment I am taking the opportunity to upload missing pictures to the gallery. I have added a bunch of high quality additions from the How To Train Your Dragon 2 press conference and a missing public appearance from 2015 when Kit and James Kent visited the Hudson Union Society (credit to Justin Hoch for those). Big thankyou also to Fernanda for donating the HTTYD2 images to the site. If real life allows it I will be moving on to magazine scans some of which need to be scanned from my personal collection to make the gallery as complete as it can be before the end of the year. I have finally got round to uploading screen captures from Testament of Youth in gorgeous HD quality. If you have not yet seen the film as always, if you don’t want to be spoiled I advise waiting to view them. Additional stills and posters have been added thanks to Fernanda

Kit Harington is best known for playing the broody bastard Jon Snow on HBO’s hit drama fantasy series “Game of Thrones.” But rather than play moody action heroes for the rest of his career, Harington has decided to branch out sooner, rather than later, taking on the role of Roland Leighton in James Kent’s feature film directorial debut, “Testament of Youth.”
The film is based on Vera Brittain’s memoir of the same name, which chronicles her time as a nurse during World War I, in which her brother and her fiancé Roland fought. Roland is a romantic and a poet; a man of more words than the stoic Jon Snow. Indiewire chatted with Harington a few days after one of his most action-packed episode of “Game of Thrones” had just aired to inquire about his desire to say a bit more.
I have added more promotional content for Testament of Youth to the gallery which includes high quality stills and a new poster. The film was released in America today
He may be best known as Jon Snow on HBO’s hit “Game of Thrones,” but Kit Harington has been branching out into movies in the past few years with a lot of interesting choices, including his latest, Testament of Youth, an adaptation of Vera Brittain’s 1933 memoir about how her life was affected by World War I. In the film, Brittain is portrayed by Swedish actress Alicia Vikander, who recently made waves for her performance in Ex Machina.
Most actors haven’t had the good fortune of landing a major role right out of drama school, let alone one that explodes into a global phenomenon, but that’s exactly how it happened for Kit Harington, best known as fan favorite Jon Snow on HBO’s Game of Thrones. Coming off a thrilling season five episode whose climactic action set piece found Jon Snow at its center, Harington next appears this week in Testament of Youth, alongside Alicia Vikander (Ex-Machina) and Taron Egerton (Kingsman: The Secret Service).
The film is a World War I drama based on the memoirs of Vera Brittain, who overcame gender barriers and followed her brother and fiance to war as a volunteer nurse. Harington took some time to chat with RT about the film, his early interest in journalism, and how strange he thought the pilot of Game of Thrones was.
Jon Snow may look seriously dashing in the enormous black cloak he rocks on “Game of Thrones,” but according to actor Kit Harington, you really don’t want to smell it.
Harington dropped by HuffPost Live on Monday along with director James Kent to discuss their new film “Testament of Youth,” and host Alonya Minkovski couldn’t let him go without squeezing in a few “Game of Thrones” questions, including what the signature cloak is made of. Harington isn’t sure, but he does know that it hasn’t been clean since he wore it for the first time.
“It hasn’t been washed in five years. None of the clothes have properly been washed in five years, which is authentic,” he said.
A couple of days ago Kit attended AOLs Build Speaker Series (pictures from that here) and discussed Game of Thrones whilst there along with Testament of Youth. I am hoping to be able to bring the entire thing to you in the next few days but until now enjoy this snippet. Watch this space..
