Fantastic to hear that Kit will be returning to the West End so soon after Doctor Faustus, in True West, which will run from November 23rd 2018 until February 2019 at the Vaudeville Theatre in London
Kit Harington and Johnny Flynn are set to star in a new production of Sam Shepard’s blistering play True West, for a limited season at the Vaudeville Theatre in London’s West End from 23rd November.
Shepard’s play is about a Hollywood screenwriter named Austin who is researching a film set in, and his brother Lee, a drifter who burgles homes for a living. They reunite for the first time in half a decade in their mother’s home in California. Over the course of the play, Lee pushes Austin to the edge of a mental breakdown.
Kit Harington, who is best known for playing Jon Snow in the television phenomenon Game of Thrones, will play screenwriter Austin. Harington has an extensive stage career having made his debut in the National Theatre production of War Horse, which eventually transferred to the West End. He has also appeared in Posh at the Royal Court, The Vote at the Donmar Warehouse and Doctor Faustus at the Duke of York’s.
Directed by Matthew Dunster, the True West is at the Vaudeville Theatre from 23rd November.
